S Club 7 are BACK! But where have they been?

Despite it being a surprisingly shaky performance, I loved the S Club 7 reunion on Children in Need.

I’m sure I can’t have been the only one commentating throughout the entire performance

"who's that one on the end!?" after completely forgetting that Tina was ever even in the band. "Oh my life that cannot be Paul!?"

"What’s his name again? H? No, Jon!” After getting confused between Steps and S Club 7 for a minute.

And then you sit back and wonder what on earth they have been doing for the past 11 years? Well it’s obvious where Rachel’s been… Never never land! She has not aged a single bit.

But no, really. What have they been doing?

It turns out most of them have tried to stay close to their musical roots.

Jon has been in the west end with lead roles in musicals such as Jersey boys and Les Miserables. He also released his debut solo album ‘Fallen Angel’ in 2013, but he said himself that he wasn’t expecting it to go Top 10 as he had no major record label behind him.

Hannah has also gone down the acting route and featured in ‘Agent Cody banks 2: destination London’ and played Abby in TV series Primevil for five series.

Hannah and Paul dated for 6 years (so this reunion is probably a bit awkward for them), but Paul's career didn't seem to have as much shine as Hannah's. He re-joined his school nu metal band ‘Skua’ which, sadly, never really took off.

Bradley was in the MTV show ‘Totally Boy band’ with other ex-pop band singers but has also gone on to write for JLS and Mutya Buena from the Sugababes.

Tina recorded a cover of a Rod Stewart song with Natasha Beddingfield and Liz from Atomic Kitten, but it all seemed to go a bit quiet until she released her debut solo single ‘Fire’ in 2012.

Rachel had the most successful music career after the band, which was surprising as everyone thought that would be Jo (don't worry, I'll come to her next). She signed a £1.5 million record deal and got a top 10 hit with sweet dreams my LA Ex. She's also done a load of modeling and came second in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2008.

And then we've got Jo, she's got the flow... The Children in Need performance wasn’t her best, but I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt and put that down to nerves. Since the split she released a single in 2005 ‘What Hurts the Most’ but her album ‘Relentless’ never did quite so well.  However, it was her appearance on Big Brother that has been most memorable and probably one she regrets after she was caught up in the racism scandal with Shilpa Shetty.

With all that being said, I think we can conclude the moral of the story is, S Clubbers are better when they are together and that’s why I’m SO excited that they’ve finally reunited for a tour!

It may be just for the money but who cares! There ain’t no party like an S Club partaaayy!
